Texas shuts them out, so they take the fight back by making it the most electric friendly state in the country.

People can say what they want about DeLoreans, but they were great cars. Aluminum bodies meant zero rust, great Peugeot motor, way ahead of its time. Gull wing doors were dumb, though, I don't know why Lamborghini brought them back.

:lol:The car panles were made of stainless steel, not aluminum and the car was heavier than shit. The so-called "great Peugot" motor was an underpowered 3.0 liter V-6 that was nothing special. The car was ahead of its time and did have a lot of innovative qualities but it was not a great car.

I thought they were just stainless steel plated, though, they were actually solid stainless? I didn't mean that the motor was a world beater, but they were great little engines for durability.

EDIT: I just looked it up, apparently they were fiberglass plated with stainless steel, I always thought it was aluminium with stainless for some reason.

If DeLorean wasn't a coke fiend and a crook these cars would have probably taken off or at least some version of them would still be around today. The engine was just too underpowered with all of the emissions bullshit that had to go on it. It went from 150hp to about 130hp.
