I just got back to my own home after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with my family. I learned of great accomplishments, great failures, and great tragedies of members of my own flesh and blood. I'm sure most of you heard the same tales of heroism and woe from your own clan. What struck me this year is that my clan is really no different from yours and that my effort, wishes, or gifts will not change the will of my family members or anyone else's. I have come to the point in my life that I believe that my greatest gift is my love and my moral support of the ones that I love. I cannot change the events of other's lives. I can let them know that I love them.

I also arrived back to my own home today and I had a similar experience.

...I really missed sitting on my own toilet.
