It's super common with pits. I'm about 1/2 scared to see what this is going to cost. It doesn't really matter I suppose. Whatever it is I'll pay it.
The cost of the surgery pales in comparison to what you're going to have to go through for the first 6 months post op to prevent Gus from re-injuring it. You can tell people not to jump on the couch after surgery. Dogs, not so much.
Yeah, he was tripodding with a tennis ball a minute ago thinking we go play his normal after work fetch. Those dogs are insatiable.
Luckily you only have one dog. I went through 2 major knee surgeries with my last lab and it was brutal, but then I heard of people that have two dogs and one was laid up while the other one was taunting it. What a nightmare. Good luck, buddy.
