I am an android guy but I always love it when new tech gear comes out..

This might be the biggest update to the iPhone since it came out...

    opinions?

oh yea this is more of a tech geek thread than a Droid V Apple, so please no fan boy yapping..

I need a new phone in Oct since my contract is up. I'll be picking up iPhone 6 for sure.

Tomorrow's event will be huge for Apple. Probably their biggest one since original iPhone came out. Personally, I can't wait for iWatch and will buy it as soon as it's out. I had several Nike Fuel Bands and also a Fitbit but they were not really great.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is Apple fans acting like Apple invented big screens, and then pretending like they didn't say they didn't want one back when Android first started doing it. ;)

I kid, the only real thing I'm interested in seeing is what they do with the whole "wearable" thing. Everyone's phones have gotten so iterative that new releases aren't that exciting anymore. Slightly larger, Slightly faster, never anything new at this point. It'll be interesting to see if Apple can mainstream accessory watches.

yea at this point.. most phones are fast enough.. my Note 2 is going on two years and it runs all the video Apps like
HBOGo, Netflix, hulu on 4g LTE without so much as a skip.. so I see zero need to update anytime soon

Yeah, I've got the Note 3, and was kind of excited to see what the Note 4 had to offer, but 700 bucks isn't worth it for a slightly better screen (the Note 3 is already an amazing screen) and a slightly faster processor. That and they got rid of the USB 3.0 port on the new Note. I do think I'm gonna take that money and look at a new tablet though, my Xoom is definatly getting long in the tooth.

I don't think that the fact it will tell time will be the point of it. "iWatch" or whatever they call it, will watch many things that are more important than time.

    Not you're fault. :)

More to the point, it sounds like the larger (5.5") iPhone may have more to get excited about than the smaller (4.7") model. A battery with double the capacity of the current 5S, an almost scratch proof synthetic sapphire screen and a resolution of 461 pixels per inch are all possibilities.

There seems to be a lot of butt-hurt Android fellas here..... You're arguing semantics... Arguing about which mobile device is better is like arguing about which toilet paper cleans your buckeye the best....
Guess what. They ALL clean your ass efficiently. Butt wipe is butt wipe.. And smart phones all do the same thing ...

I made mockups of the 4.7 and the 5.5

I'll be getting the 4.7, that 5.5 is just too big for me but the 4.7 feels really nice. I'm hoping the estimated price increases aren't accurate this guy breaks it down like this.

    • New 5.5-inch iPhone: $299/399/499
    • New 4.7-inch iPhone: $199/299/399
I want the most memory but I can't see paying 400 out of pocket with a 2 year contract.

    Link to some dudes speculation.
