I read they hated the first draft that basically told the truth in that is was pretty much over after Mercury died so they had a lot rewritten.
It reminded me of the assclowns in Journey trying to pretend that anyone gave a shit about them before or after Steve Perry.]
Nice review but the Streisand version is terrible imo (haven't seen the latest). Always liked the Judy Garland/James Mason ASIB the best of all. She is just heartbreaking.
the only movie i saw last year that made any of the nominations was Christopher Robbins/Winnie the Pooh......
my grandkids loved it.
I am going to watch Black Panther tonight. The rest BPs nominees suck.
Watch the first 20 minutes of the movie and get back to me.
At one point Sam Elliot even accuses him of stealing his voice
I don’t get the love for this one. It was ok.
Avengers was twice the movie as BP.
Deadpool 2 was my favorite superhero movie
Blank Panther was a serviceable movie, but not even in the same zip code as a Best Picture nominee. It wasn't even the best Marvel movie released last year.
My opinion on Bohemian Rhapsody - Rami Malek deserved a better movie. He was fucking great, but the movie was a hamfisted made-for-tv movie. When it was over I figured out why - it was directed by Bryan Singer - who was fired 3 weeks before the movie was done.
The fight scenes at the foot of the waterfalls were pretty. Other than that....
I'll be very busy not watching as usual. The most ponderous show on TV.
Freddy's life story wasn't that controversial. They had to Hollywood it up to make it interesting.
A story about Billy Joel's life could be very good. Billy has demons.
It can be, for sure. I actually watch the pre and post game on E!, I hate to admit it, to see what the chicks look like and to see if anyone's smashed.
This moment was not ponderous, however.
Yeah, i just said i saw it, i don't necessarily think it belongs in best picture.
I'm straining to give a shit, and failing.
Never gets old. If that LaLa Land producer hadn't taken charge, things could have been much worse. Warren Beatty's old but JFC, it was obvious you had the wrong envelope, dude! He's never, ever been able to go off-script--even his interviews are boring as he carefully picks each. and. every. word. so as not to be misunderstood. Meanwhile the guy in charge of the envelopes was taking selfies backstage and having a hell of a time for himself. LOL
have you seen Roma?
I don't get it.
It's been on Netflix and all the sudden everybody in the world shoulve seen it
Best two movies I've seen all year are the animated spiderman and bad times and the el royale. Great flicks
