Fisht Stadium - built at a cost of £525 million - has been used twice only, he said, 'at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games'.

    now....

A view of the eerily silent lobby of the Tulip Inn hotel, which was packed with guests during the games but barely has a single customer now.

No entry for cars to the Olympic park, with the Sochi Expocentre on the left. At least two oligarchs involved in building the lavish facilities are dumping their toxic assets on the state - with Russian taxpayers picking up the bill.

Living apartments and housing that were never finished.

Empty chairs sit on empty balconies at the Bridge Resort hotel in Sochi where no has been seen since the Games.

The Olympic flame has long since gone out one year after the Winter Olympics was held. The park has been branded a 'museum of corruption'

That's such a colossal waste, I'm surprised it wasn't our government that was responsible.

Really is a waste. About 2,000 families were moved out to build up Sochi and now it sits empty.

The IOC should have built a permanent Summer games facility in Greece long ago, those humps could have used the help.

It was a comment on wasteful spending, not the Olympics.

World Cups are also white elephants when held outside of Europe or North America.

My sister was there as a physical therapist for the U.S. ski team. Said everything was awful. 2 hour train rides to venues.
