    "Whole milk is actually better for you than non-fat milk or skim milk, for one reason: Fat is good for you. In clinical trials a higher fat diet, in general, has been shown to be healthier than a low-fat diet. So you don't want to avoid fat. In milk, the fat is what allows your body to fully digest the fat-soluble vitamins A and D and the calcium. Fat is like the spoonful of medicine that makes the vitamins go down."

    However, I'm on the fence about milk altogether.....would you drink breast milk from your pregnant neighbor? Of course not. Yet her milk is designed for humans.

    Milk from cows is specially designed to fatten calves. I've done some reading about the dairy association and it seems they have perpetuated the "milk is good for you" thing for obvious reasons. The dairy cattle in the US are mostly A1 protein type, which makes foreigners sick. It's an industry...all about profit

    I cut out dairy from my diet. I cut out fake sugars. Have upped my daily protein/fiber and have tried to buy all natural products when I can... been doing this since the end of March and I feel 100xs better.

    Nothing wrong with fat, as long as it in moderation. I think its the crapola fake sugar stuff we put into our bodies that is really killing us

    Oh, I hear you - I really don't use milk except for my coffee; and soy milk for my green tea.

    However - cheese? FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!!!!!!!! :nooo:

    Not much of a milk drinker.
    If I crave it (which I hardly ever do), I drink Soy or Almond Milk instead.

    I've never thought to put any sort of cream in my green tea??

    I forgot about cheese... im a huge fan of brie

    haven't drank milk in decades. cream tastes better in coffee, and pretty much in everything else (and it doesn't have any lactose to irritate me). half and half if nothing else is available.

    whole milk might be more acceptable if the processing didn't remove all the fat and then add back a little bit after processing. whole milk that is naturally whole tastes totally different than the stuff we get in cartons today (and nobody became lactose intollerant until we started buying processed milk in cartons) and if you've never had it, whole milk from the farm is like nothing you've ever tasted.

    OMG ... green tea, soy milk, and some trevvia (or whatever it is) sweetener .... tastes like green tea ice cream :yum:

    I think the you are what you eat movement caused all of this demonization of fat. But you only need to take a look at a cow, especially a grass-fed one to see that organisms are not that simplistic. But over the years our diets became very carbohydrate-heavy, based on the tenuous science of the time; now it seems like its time to undo that whole paradigm. It will take some work. I had my own misgivings about putting more fat in my diet but now that I have I am convinced that most of us need to eat more of it while cutting down on the carb.

    for the record, raw milk is the way to go, it tastes exactly like you would expect milk to taste like, yet better, and as a bonus, you can drink it if you are lactose intolerant

    I used to think I was a little bit lactose intolerant but since I've been drinking raw milk, no problems at all
