CALLING BYE YOU! CALLING BYE YOU!

The Dave Matthews Band inspires extreme emotions within people for some strange reason. You'll get fans who follow them around the country to great venues just to see their amazing shows, and then you get the people who've heard "Crash Into Me" and seen the obnoxious hipster college kids who glommed onto DMB because it can potentially get them laid if they pretend to be into them, and decide that they hate the band because of this.

What the fuck did I just say? I'm not sure, but whatever it was, I'm here to provide evidence that they are truly an amazing band. I'll start this thread with a tune they do (a cover), that seems to breakthrough and get people to like them. Without further ado:

Something told me to check in here before i took a nap.

BDTH was awesome last friday! :dadance:

The band is filled with very talented musicians. Even if you don't like the music, that fact can't be denied.

Carter Beauford is insane on the drums, and does it all while smiling and blowing bubbles.

    Tim Teynolds? Tim FUCKING Reynolds

Boyd Tinsley on the violin - perhaps even more insane than Carter. Classically trained violinist who just tears it up on stage.

LeRoi Moore had SOUL! RIP LeRoi:tears:

The addition of Rashawn Ross from Soulive on trumpet was a breath of fresh air. That boy has LUNGS! (and he should because he must weigh 500 pounds)

Stefan Lessard, the bassist of the band, was very nice to me when I met him at the formerly Budweiser Brewery and he even drew me a picture:):) Also classically trained on bass, he joined the band at 16 and had to leave the bars in which they performed as soon as the show was over because he was underage.

And then there is the man himself. Dave Matthews is just dreamy

    :jj:

i know i just blew what teeny bit of credibility I may have ever had out of the water with that last one, but hey....

    Just watch these...

That sucks! Oh well, eBay should be a good place to look. Check out, too, awesometickets.com (I think that's what it's called). What were the other two shows, again?

Did you see them on the NFL opening night? Rashawn looked about half the size he did last year. I don't know if he had surgery or what but he definitely lost about 300 lbs.

:cheer: There's 3 of us!!!!! Hi Scott! :hat:

I didn't see the NFL thing. but I saw them last Friday and Rashawn still appeared to be a big boy. He does look like he has been losing weight tho. It was the talk at the beginning of the summer.

Going to the 2 MSG shows and on on LI in November. If you wanna drive down from Boston I am sure I will have an extra ticket since I have to beg people to go with me all the time.

Damn Bye You! You've got 50 shows on me. I've got to step it up a notch. I probably won't have the money for the NY shows if I go to either Boston show that close to Christmas but if things work out I'll try to get down there. One of my best friends live on the island so I can crash there. I'll get back to you.

And why the hate for Butch? I always enjoyed him. I love the current version of the band, especially with Tim as a regular member but I thought Butch was great too. And I met him in Albany. He was very cool.
