Imo, it's as soon as Howard decided to really go for mainstream acceptance.
Jackie would have had to go at some point due to this, anyway.
I'll go with this day....
Jackie, kc, John, Billy. The golden age of the show.
For me it was the day wiggy announced a (4) day week after conning all of us to join him at Sirius.
It's the day Artie left ya retard
Wouldn't say it died, but it was definitely never quite as good.
Fuck all that
Artie was way better than Jackie.
I dunno about WAY better, but yes
It was around 05 combo of Artie leaving, the cunt, shorter week and the Sirius bonus fiasco
Both Artie and Jackie were stellar on the show. They brought the fun and funny.
Howard being a cheap fuck and not filling the chair with another comedian is what killed the show. Howard can't be funny on his own. He needs a talent to make his show funny.
I used to laugh in my office into a coat so no one would hear back in the day.
These days, his PC show is tired and old, just like Howard.
Not even close. The Stern show during the nineties was some funny ass radio.
I believe he can be funny on his own, especially when he's riffing on his parents or just busting balls in general. But the room's fucking empty now. It's just him and Robin and Fred who hardly ever makes a peep. And for fuck's sake, Robin's edgier than Howard these days...
But yeah, I kinda agree, the show really took a shit when Artie left.
Oh yeah, and Benjy's still there... forgot about him...
Yes, he is only funny stuff when he does Ben and Rae impressions.
I used to laugh when he busted balls with the staff but b/c they don't fight back anymore, it is kinda sad.
so you're the one he does the mom mimic for..
Yeah, it's old, but it's like the only thing left on the show that's even remotely funny. And the rare Sal/Richard appearance.
What the hell is going on under that wig?! Looks like he's smuggling something under there.
Artie didn't leave til like 2011
