The Dixie Chicks are at it again.

Thirteen years after a public comment against then-president George. W. Bush lead to a backlash from country fans and nearly destroyed their career, the superstar trio are again getting political.

Their target this time? Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Natalie Maines, 41, Martie Maguire, 46, and Emily Robison, 43, kicked off the American leg of their current world tour in Cincinnati on Wednesday, showing a defaced picture of the 69-year-old businessman to their sold-out crowd.

The devil-horned image came as the Chicks performed "Goodbye Earl" – the country anthem about a woman killing her abusive husband.

In March 2003 while performing in London, Maines spoke out against Bush and the war in Iraq, saying "Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas."

The comment led to death threats and caused country-music radio stations to ban the Chicks. They would later triumph over the uproar three years later with their song "Not Ready to Make Nice" – the band's biggest hit in the US to date.

"I apologized for disrespecting the office of the President," Maines told Time on the eve of the single's release. "But I don't feel that way anymore. I don't feel he is owed any respect whatsoever."

"Former Members of Rage Against the Machine to Crash RNC and “Bust Up the Joint”

Tom Morello, formerly of Rage Against the Machine, has vowed to “cause a ruckus” at the Republican National Convention, and made the promise while wearing a red “Make America Rage Again,” hat.

Morello has formed a new super group called ‘Prophets of Rage,’ which includes another former member of RATM, Tim Commerford,as well as Chuck D from Public Enemy, DJ Lord, and B-Real from Cypress Hill. The band made their debut at a show at the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles on May 31, and is ready to head to the RNC for a pop-up concert in protest.

The group is performing classics from all three of their previous bands, as well as new songs.

“One of the things that has irked me greatly is the way that the media has talked about both the Trump campaign and the Sanders campaign, as both of them are ‘raging against the machine’” Morello previously told reporters. “We we’re going to set that record straight once and for all what it really means to Rage Against the Machine.”

In an interview with Bloomberg Politics, the rockstar called Donald Trump a “racist demagogue” and Bernie Sanders “a dreamer” as if the latter is a bad thing. He then stated that Hillary Clinton is “the lesser of three evils,” which many have said makes his credibility seem questionable as the former first lady has vowed to have more hawkish policies than any of the candidates, and even the “drone ranger” President Barack Obama.

“None of those choices are good enough,” Morello stated.

Trump is expected to be nominated as the Republican candidate at the convention in Cleveland, which is taking place from July 18 through the 21.

“Well there’s a thing called the Republican National Convention in July, and that will be a perfect place for a band like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus, and we will be there on the streets, in the field,” Morello told Rolling Stone. “We have a venue and there may be venues that will be spontaneous venues, it’s hard to say. This is the kind of thing you don’t broadcast to the local authorities prior to arrival.”

When asked if they will also be crashing the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Morello stated that “anything is possible.”
In 2008, Rage Against the Machine made massive waves when they played an protest concert outside of the RNC in Minneapolis — which lead to over 100 people being arrested.

A band that claims to be anti establishment, hates Trump and not Clinton?

    Stick to music.

Donald's hair is obviously not the greatest. But it's really amazing that Rosie ODonell and Natalie Maines feel no hesitation to go after a person's appearance. We're talking about a man that is 15 and 28 years older than the two and is in considerably better shape than either.

And it's not as if this chick has made the best choices regarding haristyles

Rage Against the Machine has been raging against chart success since 1996. The 18-24 year old imbeciles that might take to Morello's message don't know have a clue as to who the fuck he is.

If a guy like Morello is backing Hillary instead of a true-believer like Bernie, he must think Trump has a real chance of winning. If he thought Trump had no shot, he'd be safely out on the fringe raging away.
