    Discuss.
Keeping in mind that he got fat FOR THE SHOW, and has since taken some of the weight off, but not most of it.

Would you gain over 50lbs for a job? And what if that "job" was also your creation and your creative outlet, and the fatness did make for good material? ...And what if that fatness made you look like Al Borland??

...and do you believe him? Did he write it in and then get fat or was it really the other way around?

And also let's discuss how shitty Home Improvement was.

He lost all of it . They made a joke about it in the last season, how he gained and lost 60 pounds in 3 months .

the gaining of weight was the plot for an episode entitled "How Mac Got Fat"

It would be difficult, but I feel like I could do it if I had his job. If I can take several months and dedicate it to very little outside of losing weight, I think it may be doable for me

Yes, yes, I watch the show. I'm familiar with it. That's why I mentioned all that in the OP.

Just sayin... he gets fat and looks like Richard Karn. That's all I see when I watch the "fat" episodes.

I think if it were just any ol' job I'd say no.
But if it were MY creation and I was passionate about it and the hilarity that would ensue, I may do it. Knowing what I know about weight loss, etc. I dunno... it'd be a tough decision but I think I'd do it if it would make for that many more laughs.

And Home Improvement was really annoying and repetitive, amiright?? :c

the fatness added no lolz to the show, it was unnecessary and detracted from the overall lolz count

When Tim saw tools and grunted it was comedy at its finest.

Yea, there would have to be an end game to me gaining 50lbs. I wouldnt do it to prove I can ( I know I can), nor do I need to prove that I can lose it (I lost 82lbs some years back.)
