I thought that George Takei was going to be the permanent announcer. Like every day, not just once every few months. Was I the only one?

It's like David Arquette being the intern, and official title but meaningless.

Yeah, I realize that now of course. But on Day 1, I really thought he was permanent.

He never once acted as an announcer. Having your "announces" pre-announced by the host of the show is hardly acting as an announcer.

    Announcer.

Having George in was probably the only interesting bit he thought of in years, he was shocked that people actually liked him because you can bet in Howard's mind he was going to be a punch bag for stupid humiliating ideas

I HATE when Marbles uses the word "announce". "Give us an announce, George". It's ANNOUNCEMENT! Or just ask, "Will you announce the show again, George?"

Same with the word reveal. "And now it's time for the reveal". NO, It's NOT! It's time to reveal the new look!

Since when do verbs become nouns all of a sudden???

It's a US thing; probably blame Daniel Webster?

I don't recall thinking one way or the other about George, I remember that it was a big deal to me at the time that he was uncensored on satellite radio and it was like the kind of excitment of going to see your favorite rock band....even though the first year of Sirius was kind of a mess, I thought it was great...those were the days..

Yup, that's how I found the link. :)

And I should have said NOAH Webster. I always get them confused, what with the devil and all.
