Control both sides and create a fake argument feigning differences.

Even if Obama gets his tax increases, they will only pay for 8 days of national debt.

    -

The bankers and uber rich control both parties with political donations, lobbiest, kickbacks, etc.

The problem with this country is not the poor people who put every dime they make/are given back into the economy.

The problem is the ultra rich who write their own laws, have rigged the game for themselves, and have destroyed the American middle class.

"If youve got 30 million, and your wife wants half, big deal, you aint starving. Now if you make 40,000, and your wife wants 20,000, you gonna have to kill her"

    -

No one wants to admit they are not middle class.

Who is the real sucker, the asshole who decides fuck it, ill live like a lower class asshole, or the guy who works 50 hours a week just to be in the 'working poor'?

Do not confuse this for an argument to be a govt leech. Its is merely an illustration of the current problem

We live in the new gilded age

    -

In the 1950's earning on money over a million dollars was taxed at 92%.

A man could work 40 hours a week and support a stay at home wife, two kids, a car and a house payment.

Now the Dems want to stop at 39%, and the GOP think it should stay at 37%, thats not an argument, that is an agreement.

    -

Raising taxes on the rich does not effect job creation.

Its a simple fact that you would rather make 0.05% on your money than to sit on it and make 0%.

    -

Solutions to Americas problem are not that far off, but neither side is actually offering them.

Cut defense spending 10% for 10 straight years.

    Stop foreign aid.

Make the first $20,000 earned on cap gains tax free, every thing else taxed like normal.

Make earning above 5-10 million taxed at 90% until the deficit is payed down.

Tax money leaving the country at 95%

Start a massive govt jobs program to rebuild Americans infrastructural (roads, rails, dams, fiber optics, green energy)

Require those on public assistance to work these jobs (at least part time).

    -

If youve got 20 million and they take 19 million, youre still a millionaire.

If you take the only safety net the poor have with food stamps, etc, you will only increase the crime rate.

have you looked into how much revenue your tax plan would bring in?

    also

    you mean debt, right?

No, and that plan is certainly not complete. Ive read taxing 1and 2%ers at 100% would not fund the current debt.

We spend more on our military that the next 20 nations COMBINED.

the 21ths century began and will contiune to be about asymmetric warfare.

There will be no tank battle between USA and Russia.

The F22 is not even capable of fighting.

(current) Stealth Technology will be obsolete in 20 years.

We have 3 ways to nuke Russia (ICBM's, Strategic bombers, Nuke subs) what if we went down to two or heaven forbid one?

9/11 cost the terrorist $400,000 to $500,000, the two wars on terrorism have cost us $2,000,000,000,000

2 trillion to avenge 2650 american deaths. 30,000 Americans die each year from MRSA. Odd a man dies of cancer in their life time 23%, odd a woman dies 19%.

Healthcare costs are out of control. There certainly needs to be an incentive to be a doctor, but getting rich should not be the main selling point (how about helping people?).

Middlemen, insurance companies, drug company kickbacks, etc should all be forced out of healthcare.

I stayed in the hospital for 14 hours, and got an $87,000 bill (including $8 for a single 200mg Ibuprofen).

    yes

health care is definately fucked up & out of control. as fucked up as obamacare is, (what we know about it anyway) its way overdue to a medical industry thats been fucking individuals & employers for years, so fuck the medical industry for not cleaning up their act & raping this country for far too long. health insurance, hospitals, doctors, med equipment, medicare/medicaid we've subsidized the rest of the worlds in prescription drugs...every medical supply link in the chain has fucked us so i'm a big fan of obamacare just because it shakes up the system....& its bad also but fuck it, whadya gonna do with this shitty bunch of crooks in washington?

i think the Medical Savings Account plan will eventually bubble up to the surface; costs cannot be kept down if the end user is not paying them. that $0.40 tylenol will cost $0.50 or $1.00 if you're paying for it yourself. if your insurance company is paying for it, you don't give a fuck if they charge $50 apiece.

doctors should be like vets. your doggie gets sick, you take it to the vet, he gives you a price and a procedure, and you pay him. works for vets.

the other weird thing, at least in LA, is that you can get an MRI faster and cheaper with cash than going through insurance; about $600.

technology is getting better and cheaper continually; why not take advantage of that in medicine?

60 minutes sunday was about hospitals ordering all kinds of expensive tests on you before the doctor even sees you, the doctor walks in & says wtf with all these tests? it was a hospital whistleblower story told by 5 doctors & the raping of our insurance companies.
the worst thing to happen to affordable health care is our employer provided health insurance because it hides the bloated costs of services. every country in the world is much cheaper for same services now, much much cheaper. the hospitals are also pressuring doctors to admit at least 20% of their patients to extened stays & services....fuckin scam health industry brought obamacare on itself, not that thats the answer either, now the gubment will get raped even more.

the only way health isnurance is gonna work & be affordable in the future is if we scrap all the for profits & make it co-ops owned by the users with appointed administrative salaried personnel to manage the co-op, no shareholders or profit motives allowed. the current model doesnt work for the users & only makes the insurance execs, lobbyists & washington rich.

Well it is clear that neither you or a loved one have ever been sick. If you are hospitalized for 10 days in an ICU, the doctor's charges will be minimal (10 to 15%) compared to the total price of your bills. I'm glad for your good health though.

my other large medical bill was 5 nights @ $250,000.

    So... MathewT...

What percentage of Americans do you really think could pay that? 1%? 2%?

You cant see the forest though the trees.

1 in 2 men will get cancer at some time in their life.

Exactly. Much like FEMA and other issues where the GOP wants it all cut...oh, except for one something hits or hurts their area. Then? WHERE IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!
