...ugh i watched a commercial for tonights grammys and i wanted to hurl. they didnt mention paul and ringo and the 50 year celebration of the beatles performing in america but they did say jayz is up for 9 awards and justin timberlake up for 7. sounds fucking stale to me.

I had to youtube all the songs nominated because I knew hardly any of them. The pop category is just atrocious.

...the only song i liked that ive heard is by the 17 year old girl lordes. good tune i hope she wins something but the show looks heavily loaded with schlock.

Heh. funny. That's the one I hated the most. :jj:

That Pink song is good...well, I should say that she has a good voice but it'll lose to the Macklemore & Lewis tune. That's my prediction.

The Grammy's seem so irrelevant anymore. People have so many listening options for new music anymore. At one time it was the real avante-garde guy who got that obscure cd from a band hardly anyone knew and now it's millions of people getting stuff that caters to a relatively small audience.

...i liked their song thrift shop, heh. yeah theyre local guys, i wouldnt call myself a fan but they dont come off like jerks in interviews. im just not able to suffer thru the ass kissing of jayz beyonce and justin t. to hear the 2 or 3 good songs that will come out of it.

...not even interested in that. it just seems the grammys have gotten worse thru the years or im just old and jaded or a combination of both. :grouch:

God, he looks like one of those fancy breeds of cat that just got dipped in water.

And his continuing to play like the "cute one" is ever more sickening.

    Fuck him.

i remember in the mid 90's being excited to hear Stern recap the grammy's the following morning. i would get up early and still go into work late because i was in THSS trance. times have really changed.
