I mentioned in another thread that the first time I'd ever heard of Stern, was when I saw the Jesus Twins on his E! show, and then I was hooked.

Re-watching this stuff, it's even more entertaining to me than it was initially:

I love how Jackie laughs every time the manager opens his mouth.

Which Jesus Twin was it that ended up getting shot and killed by the police? I know his name was Eric, but is it the one in the black shirt in the first few clips, or the red shirt? I'm gonna guess the black shirt.

Sad that Howard never had them back on. Based on what was said on SFN, they insulted Howard's looks on a phone call, and so that prompted them to never be able to return.

I have to say, this is part of the genius of the old, Howard Stern. I really think that they had the potential to turn into an interesting, kitsch, act.

I don't know why that stuck in my head. Remember how odd the song was, but it was actually kinda good

I actually genuinely liked the song. The band was tight, and yeah, it got stuck in my head.

I agree. For me, I'd probably put them as the best, in large part due to nostalgia, and because they were my "first."

Watching this again, also made me realize how much I miss the E! shows.

I wonder why Robin Radzinski didn't come with Howard to HowardTV. Why did they chose DePace over her? She did a good job with the E! shows.

I just looked her up on IMDB, and it doesn't look like she was doing much after the E! shows. Maybe she was, though, and it's just not listed.

I wonder if it was a salary thing...

Best guests ever. I still watch it from time to time.

Have you ever seen Hank the dwarf and Howie Mandel on the same show? To me this is the 2nd best show ever, after the Jesus Twins.

You can listen to the Hank episode on Youtube, but the video is what makes it so funny. Wish I could find it. Hank was wobbling at one point.

They turned down a real record contract, on air. Turned it down because the label represented Pearl Jam. Hilarious.

The look of bewilderment on Howard and Gary's faces was great!

I'm sure I've seen it, but I'll have to check it out again. I liked Hank, but that was one of the most classic examples of Howard encouraging destructive behavior, and using it as fodder for his radio show. Remember when he literally put Hank's alcohol bottle up to his mouth as he was laying down?

They're probably how I got hooked, but it was the Summer of Magic in 98 that got me listening full time.

Right up until one of them got himself shot, I could never decide if they were for real or beyond-incredible shtick.
They were the most entertaining HSS guests, ever
