It seems Wiggy has really upped his game adding more and more of these pre-recorded bits that sound straight out the hackiest 1981 morning zoo show.

"Hey Kids, it's The Howard Stern Show Board Game!"

"Coming Soon, it's Yoko Ono's Greatest Hits!"

Hard to tell if this new burst of creativity is the writing genius of the key holder hire, Elisa Schwartz or Lisa Glasberg.

I also love the back-to-back breaks in the first half-hour that highlight 15 mins. of these zany pre-recorded bits.

How great was the Joan Rivers from heaven interview today? Almost up to the comedic genius level of the Kim Jong Un one from last week.

I really was gonna do a Robin and say I WAS JUST GOING TO SAY THIS....and write a thread, I was keeping count today of all the shit-bits that some creative geniuses are cranking out in the back room ponderous.......The fact that they can't even get/don't want HIGH FUCKIN PITCH ERIC to do his own voice in a bit is pathetic, and really scrapes the bottom of the Zoo-format barrel that the show has become....

I think they have a new writer on the show, some young kid. Theres other threads about it but I think that's where all this new yuckity yuck bits are coming from. That and Electric Eel the prep service.

The best part of the show is back office drama but now its off limits and all these people never get mentioned on air.

His new interview style with musicians is really annoying too.

-Cue up artists most recognizable song
    -"Do you recognize this song?"
    -Artist gives some annoyed response
-Howard repeats through the artists entire catalog of hits

Maybe he's always done this to an extent, but it seems way more pronounced lately.

don't forget the other key question "how long did it take you to write that song?"

They have the whack packers working overtime I've noticed now. They are constantly in prerecorded bits singing the top
5 songs and on John Liebermans news show doing street interviews. All unpaid of course. Like Fred the elephant boy. Used to be on maybe twice a year, now they arte beating him to death. I can see a lot of the WP just telling them to fuck off and leave them alone.

I really, truly do not believe he is using ANY of the actual whack pack for the new bits...they all sound like shitty versions of the real thing, it is.

No lie, they absolutely are using the two guys they found that imitate Hi-Pitch and Bigfoot to record the recent output of pre-recorded bits.

That is definitely the vocal stylings of the hack they actually put in the Jackie chair a couple years ago known as 'Bigfoot Jr."

"Is there a lot of temptation on the road"

"Do you think it's true what they say that rock is dead and this streaming music now. I don't know from streaming but I have a playlist."

"But be honest weren't you really just angry with your parents when you wrote this song The Monkey Wrench. What is a monkey wrench I don't even know do you know Robin?"

The best is his go to Open E question to the guitarists. "ive been watching you like a hawk, that's open E tuning tuning right" "No, just standard tuning, you old wigged fuck."
I think open E tuning is used maybe in Rolling stones songs and maybe some Allman Brothers, that's about it. I don't know where he picked that up but its annoying.

The WP is constantly being used for Lieberman Live.
I know one WP who sometimes gets tired of it, he doesn't even pick up the phone,
because he knows they will always call him another day.

He began using that "Behind the Music" technique with his Metallica interview last year, right after his contract for HowardTV ended. Since he's not airing these interviews on OnDemand anymore, he no longer has to worry about paying rights for song usage. And now he can conduct every musician interview with a constant soundtrack of their music.

You are right about most of the bits, Jon Liebermans news show is all real whackpackers on the phone. No hacky lines from them just boring answers, that's how you now its real.
