Ralph and Marcella Bracamonte's California home has become their personal hell.

They fired their live-in nanny this month, but the woman -- Diane Stretton -- has refused to move out, and the couple has little legal recourse to evict her.

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/27/us/nanny-squatter/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

"She accused Stretton of filing frivolous lawsuits before. CNN confirmed that Stretton is on the California Courts' Vexatious Litigant List, a list of people who continually bring legal action, regardless of merit, against others with the sole intention of harassment. CNN found dozens of lawsuits filed by Stretton in California over the years."

My buddy who is a tree guy and also a slumlord couldn't get these mejicans to leave....he tried and tried. So he waited till a Saturday afternoon....kicked in their door and cut their couch in half with a chainsaw. Then walked out. They were gone the next day. true story...obviously years ago...these days he'd probably get locked up

this case is a perfect example how hiring a lawyer for a couple of hundred bucks would have saved this family the torture they are experiencing

And don't hire a nanny off of CL for no salary, just room and board.

It's because of lawyers that this cunt files frivolous lawsuits left and right.

No, it appears she files on her own, which most of these nutty litigants do

most states do, they should have prepared for the contingency of it not working out. They should have also worked with an agency. But they were looking for easy and cheap, like most people

Honestly...I think some people are weak. I'd never hire a nanny, but if I did, I assure you she would never pull this shit on me....Easier to find a better target

Is there no law that punishes rats like this lady for clogging up the system?

I wonder if they can simply seal the house up so she cannot get out. Shut off the water, electricity and phone service and seal the house as though it's going to be fumigated while the family is away on vacation. She either leaves the house or dies. the first way is desirable and the other is a regrettable accident.

courts have procedures, in probate court some litigants are required to get permission to file a case. I know some crazy lawsuits are always making the news, but 99% of the time, they do get weeded out pretty efficiently. Believe me, more people go broke and or die because of medical malpractice than frivolous lawsuits, but for some reason the lawyers are the targets not the doctors or hospitals
