Safety. The theory is that if you run out of fuel, you or the AAA attendant (or whoever) will be safer if you're on the side of the car away from traffic. With some exceptions, cars that are designed in LDH countries have them on the right, while RHD countries have them on the left.
I figured it would be safer at the gas station, if some "thug" tries to steal P-B's purse, he can at least jump back into the driver's seat and lock the door. The other way he'd have to run around the other side of the car first. See my point? Thank you.
I almost bought one last year but the interior looked cheap as fuck. I'll reconsider getting one if the next gen has a better interior.
My car's fuel door is on the driver's side. And I don't leave my doors unlocked when gassing up. And I don't have a purse.
