Tonight was opening night. Date night with my wife, dinner and a movie.

I won't give anything away, I really liked it.

If you are looking for a good movie, you may want to check it out.

    Indeed.

Tonight, I saw the trailer for the new Star Trek movie "Beyond", it looks great too.

I had pretty much figured out what was going on outside very early on. Don't want to spoil it, but I didn't particularly find it original or "twisty".

Very cool - I didn't know CBS was coming out with a new Star Trek series after Beyond

Is this a sequel to Cloverfield? I never saw the first one, Should that be seen first?
If not, is it worth seeing?

I felt like the trailer gave everything away, including "the twist."

Does it even matter where shows are released now? You can subscribe to premium channels for just a month and get all caught-up online.

It's not a direct sequel, no. They may or may not be in the same universe according to J.J. Abrams.

It takes more than "shakey cam" to impress me.
If this is shakey cam, I'll just steal it.

No offense, but based on the shockingly high box office tallies of most movies these days, I'm going to have to require more proof that it's not a total POS.

In my mind The Goodman Character is Walter...... It FITS if you THINK about it..... Walter would totally be a Prepper with a Doomsday Bunker....

I wanted to like the first one, but too much of that damn shaky-cam ruined it for me.

It has nothing at all to do with Cloverfield, story wise.
