Seen him four times now. He never disappoints, and every show is different. Amazingly talented guy.
Listen to this album, and the previous 4 or so. If you like blues and guitar-oriented rock, you'll love it.

He's from my hometown, and when he was young I saw him in a band called Bloodline with kids of famous musicians. On bass was Barry Oakley's son, on drums was Miles Davis' son, and on guitar was Robby Kreiger's son. They kinda sucked.

It's a shame Jonny Lang got all bibleriffic... He was the next in line for blues stardom until he fucked that all up.

His first couple of albums weren't that great, either. It was only until his 6th (!) album "Sloe Gin" when I started to like him. Pretty much everything he released after that has been stellar.

Dude has released a shit-ton of albums. Real hard-working guy.

He's great. The last of a dying breed. Seen him a couple times live and even "jammed" with him in a guitar store once randomly in Rochester, NY back in 2003.

I never really cared for JB. He plays the same old blues that has been done a million times already without adding anything new. And he seems like kind of a douche, too. For example, he has a column in Guitar Player magazine about him running around and buying ever vintage piece of gear he can get his hands on. He says stuff like "I've always liked brown Fender amps, in fact I have 17 of them!".
