Did you know that Beth informed her husband that she thought up a brilliant idea for the very last Letterman show. It was really detailed, emphasis on Howard and she even thought out specific bits!

Then her husband took this brilliant idea to his agent!

I was horrified when I heard her idea, it was incredibly stupid and showed no insight into Dave's career. I'm stunned that someone with any show-business insight would seriously suggest that Letterman, who's had longer and career than Stern (if not as funny at times) would basically turn over his last show to Howard Stern to comment on his career. It has got to be the dumbest and most self-serving suggestion she's ever made that been publicized. Howard had the insight to dismiss it, but pretended to consider it. Amazingly bad idea.

Trust me...this wasn't the Mooses's idea. No way no how....if it doesn't involve kittens this "idea" was Howard's. It had all the classic narcissistic, egotistical, self serving hallmarks that point to it being Howard's brilliant idea. He threw it out there this morning as a way of getting Dave's attention. Howard is very calculating when it comes to this shit.

It could all be summed up from the genius mind of Don Rickles. At a Jimmy Kimmel party. Don and Howard were talking and Beth tried to force herself into the conversation and make some self-serving comment. Rickles turned around and shot back "You??, Nobody is thinking about YOU!"

What makes this story greater is that Wiggy had no problem repeating it on the air

Please, that Joan Rivers eulogy was written by the 10 professional comedians and writers Wiggy could get on the phone that weekend (Louis C.K., Kimmel etc.)

None of that except for his stupid 'dry vagina" line was from his brilliant comedic mind.

Wiggy is a comedic hack - these last 5 years prove that is so painfully obvious.

This is such a stupid-fucking idea.

I will never forget this either. He loved it when Rickles put her in her place as a non-famous person with a famous person and he had to repeat it on air to put her in her place again, as beholden to him. I really think that "Behind the Candelabra" really hit home for what his real life is like.

Do you really think that or any constructive idea came out of her insipid sub-85 IQ trainwreck of a brain? It was Howard's idea using her as a proxy to not look so self-serving (or so he thinks) attempting to crowbar himself onto the most watched Letterman show just like he foisted himself and inappropriate "eulogy" on Melissa Rivers. Except this time Letterman and his people have a choice to LOL.

The whole point of this story and why Stern won't do Letterman's last week of shows unless he is the last guest or only guest that night, is because Howard wants to be viewed as on the same level as Letterman, Leno and Oprah.

Why would Howard be the one to interview him? He is not the heir apparent.

I really hope Beth's idea for Letterman's last show does happen but instead of Stern it's Jay Leno who takes Letterman's chair and does a retrospective interview of Letterman.

I'm so glad I stopped listening. If just reading it about here is making me completely mental, I
think if I had actually heard it, my head would have exploded.

    :argh:
