i am in lower Manhattan and may have to be evacuated. Please be advised that your building is located in “Hurricane Evacuation Zone A†per the NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM). As of the time of this notice, there is no evacuation order in effect; however Zone A would be the first to be evacuated if deemed necessary by Mayor Bloomberg and/or the OEM. Since my favorite Thai place may not be here anymore come Monday, i think I am going to order a boatload of Thai food before i have to hightail it outta here. When i lived in Louisiana, Hurricane Gustav or Ike brought my little stray kitty I was feeding into my house. I was away for a few days and missed the storm, and when i came home i opened the back door and called his name to see if he was still alive. That cat ain't no dummy. A formerly shy cat just walked right into my house and wouldn't leave. Anyone else in the hurricane's Path? anyone have any hurricane stories to share? I'm only starting this thread because Monk said we need more new threads.
