So I'm in our boring monthly staff meeting this morning when I heard something so fucking ridiculous on the PC continuum that I had to literally bite my tongue. The last few months, one of the CEO's talking points has been "straight talk" - as in, if you have a problem with someone, be an adult and address it with them, not gossip about it with your coworkers. Today, the CAO referenced "straight talk" and the CEO busted in on her and said, "No, no, no - remember we're calling it DIRECT TALK now so that nobody will potentially be offended." It's a small company (probably less than 50 people now) and there is one Lesbian employee who is the coolest chick you'll ever meet. She is fun, funny and totally UN-PC. I can't imagine they changed this phrase because of her. It's just a sign of the times.
