    Howdy,

I had a bunch of little containers of things in my refrigerator and I hate wasting food so I made this...

    On Tonight's Menu:

Tostada - Azteca Shell with Chipotle Adobo Pinto Beans & Meat, Queso Fresca, Guacamole Puree, and Shredded Cabbage...

...and a song by a guy who's no longer with us, but was a pure riot the times he would come to the city and play live. I recommend learning more about him because he was such a far-out kind of person. Its Hasil Adkins with the song "Chicken Twist":

Talk about your food or music, like Ice Cube said "You Know How We Do It".

I hope everyone is having an excellent evening and week. :toptip:

Indeed, one time I went to see him and him and his old lady were arguing with each other while he was on stage and she was standing in the audience. Good times. :)

I don't know what to say...

    I'm very flattered. :uwub:

    Thank you, madame! :toptip:

That tuna melt looks perfectly prepared, not too overcooked, not too undercooked.

I use Jimmy John's tuna salad recipe for my tuna melts. Its simple and perfect.

I appreciate you posting that picture. Its looks lovely. :)

    I love chicken quesadillas! :cheer:

    I totally agree!

Nerd loves her Kraft Singles, also a tuna melt is supposed to be evocative of being young when you loved things like Kraft cheese.

    Me too!

I love Pasta Fagioli! I usually serve it with a grilled Sweet Italian Sausage on the side. :)

Cabbage is pretty common on the more authentic stuff. I like it better than lettuce and its healthier too.

If you buy a can of chipotle peppers(smoked jalapenos), they are packed in a chipotle puree called adobo. When I blended the beans, I also threw in a few of the chipotle peppers as well.

Its not too fancy, you can buy them at any supermarket these days. You should try them if you like spicy stuff.

    Awesome! Be safe, okay?

True story. I worked in a horrible 50's diner and they would play the "Grease" soundtrack day in and day out.

My co-workers and I started making parodies of the song because we knew them all by heart. I liked "Grease" before that job, but I can't stand it anymore. I'm still traumatized.

My funniest contribution...."I've got crabs, they're multiplying." :D
