I'm listening to old shows from October 2008 because lately there.....ah, we all now that story. Anyway, my point is goddamn I forgot how good the show was back then. It really wasn't that long ago but the difference in the show from then until now is incredible.

Not everyone likes Artie (I do), but you can't deny the show was 100% better with him than it is now.

    Shit, it's sad.

Meh. The show was still good in 2010. It began to decline in 2011 for whatever reason, Howard himself suddenly got really fucking boring. Fuck Artie and his bullshit.

2008 was the last good year for the Stern show.

While 2009 had the "gay pitch", the year was marred by Artie's spiral of drug abuse which was hurting his perfomance.

It was also the year that the evolution was starting to pick up steam

hmm. for howard's evolution to get going in full swing, artie would had to be out of the way. and then he was. i think maybe i'll start the conspiracy theory that howard hired ralph to go stab artie. artie was completely zonked on dope, so he though he'd done it.

I have tons of old shows on my old ipod 2005-2008 and I love hearing them, Mr.T, tons of beetle, wackpack stuff, Gilbert, stuff you won't hear on youtube.

2008 was definitely the beginning of the end. As much as I love Artie, his drug shit was dragging the show down in the end. Remember when he would call out on Monday, and the entire show was spent on speculating on what happened to him? And it would happen over and over again and they wouldn't move on. Shit got old and they would do it every time Artie called in sick.

Serious question, how are you listening to the 2008 shows? I'd love to revisit all those shows
