I'm looking at the periodic chart. The symbol for boron is a capital B.

    Wikipedia says:
Jerry doesn't know how to describe that?

I don't think Howard was asking for the LITERAL EXPLANATION he was asking for the process, which deals with WHY he chose the element Boron. Prolly cuz...

    1. He needed an element that everyone would identify as an element but not overly familiar with like gold oxygen etc. (some people might not have heard of really rare elements either)

    2. He needed an element that sounded right with a couple of syllables. Not something with 4 syllables.

    3. It rhymes with moron; maybe people subconsciously make that association and laugh.

Not trying to be Mr. Defender of Seinfeld, but I don't even get why this thread was posted by you (to slam Jerry in the most obscure possible way???)

    .....uhhh, uhhh, forget it....whatever...

A funnier line would be " What's the symbol for Prince?"
