That I bought into it.
Signing the first Sirius contract.
Do you ever been feel like you've been cheated?
I think AGT was the final nail in the coffin for me. Howard had cut the show down to 3 days because he supposedly needed more free time, but then he signed with AGT (and gave up his free time) PLUS cut back his show to twice a week. It was the ultimate slap in the face to his radio listeners and he made it clear he considered AGT to be his primary concern and Sirius was just a side job. Great way to treat the fans who supported him his whole career, followed him to satellite, and believed his empty promises about "The Revolution". To make it even worse he proceeded to shove AGT down our throats by constantly talking about it and making it the focus of H100 News and various programs on H101, even though it was clear his fanbase had ZERO interest in that pigfuck of a show.
The first day back from vacation without Artie, and Wig trying to proceed without a single mention or acknowledgement of it, as if Artie never existed.
That was the moment my gaze turned inward, on my determination to mock him online and watch him fail and his world crumble.
The Wig telling Ellen he loves when she dances .
That was the last straw for me.
FOR ME it was an oz like moment. suddenly I realized that everything and i mean everything stern said was a lie or a set up for the next lie. Maybe when he worked at it harder at it in the beginning and before the movie it wasn't so obvious but when this guy decided to lift the sheet and let you see small glimpses of the real man it was instant hate. instant hate because what he showed us in these exposed moments was that he was a complete hypocrite. he railed about no talent trophy wives of celebrities, employees or co workers not being able to look or talk to imus before or after the his show, ass kissing Hollywood celebrity culture. when all along he wanted to be or already was everything he got famous putting down or mocking.
the absolute definition of a hypocrite!
The show has changed a lot. But, it still makes me laugh. I still enjoy it.
When his movie came out, I grew tired of hearing about it - just like I do with the AGT banter.
It's been a slow death for me. First I didn't have Sirius radio but watched Howard tv. When that ended, that was it for me. I stopped reading marks friggin months ago. Couldn't read one more celebrity interview.
When it was no longer fun or funny, finally quit in 2006.
Howard pretty much unravelled his entire legacy didn't he?
You hit it on the head
The day he said " I piss on my fans Robin, I don't need them", that was the end for me. It's like your brother shanking you in the gut.
What the fuck show are you talking about?
I don't blame him 100% for the Artie collapse, but considering Artie was the only thing keeping that show listenable in 2009, you'd think he'd have tried a little harder to help the guy if only to keep interest in the show high.
It took him about 3 weeks before he mentioned Artie, I believe. Quite the bro.
The first time I heard a live show that was then edited in the replay because a girl broke down crying after she humiliated herself on the sybian.
I joined "the revolution" I think I was on the wrong side.
The Giftscripstions segment was the 1st crack in the armor. Talk about second hand embarrassment. Ugh.
When Artie left and they just acted like nothing happened and then they didn't even replace him, the ship started to sink.
I have XM so I was actually paying more for the show, and then (I think it was the 1st AGT year, maybe the year before) he was on for like 8 shows in 2 months, with 3,000 replays of the Dixie Chick interview. Every single time I turned the radio on that summer it was the freakng Dixie Chicks! That's when I cancelled.
When my ex-girlfriend and her sister had a threesome with Jon Hein...
Yeah, I really don't understand that entire scenario. Howard and Robin were very angry that someone "told the media" that Artie tried to kill himself. What was Howard's plan? Was Howard just going to pretend that Artie went on vacation and never came back?
