The zombie apocalypse has welcomed three fresh-faced victims. AMC has found a new leading man in actor Cliff Curtis for the network's upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off series. In addition, the highly-anticipated companion piece recently also signed on actors Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey for the pilot according to Deadline. Based on the graphic novels by Robert Kirkman, Cliff will play 'a divorced teacher,' while Frank and Alycia will portray a sibling duo during the same post-apocalyptic period but in a different location. The series, also known as Cobalt, will center around the story of the 46-year-old actor's character, who is 'a good man who tries to do right by everyone in his life' and a female guidance counselor. Frank, 23, is set to play the woman's son 'who has battled a drug problem,' while Alycia, 21, will play her 'ambitious daughter.' In addition to Kirkman, Dave Erickson serves as co-creator and Adam Davidson will direct the program.
