    Stock price?

Howard complained that he got stock before the share price crashed.

He's said some of the players at Sirius made a shitload on the business side.

He sued but lost over not getting a bonus for the added XM subscribers.

Maybe he decided a mainstream show with constant guest promotions will drive the stock price up and he can make an exit.

The stock broke $4, he probably needs it to go to $6 to get back to where he got it (guess).

I've been thinking that Sirius is driving what he's doing these days (not Marci Turk, unless she's there as Sirius' "yes man").

It's hard to tell. Sirius would want him to make as much as possible for them before he leaves (if he's going to)

But would he really fuck up his show as he's done because Sirius wants him to?

@Marci Turk, tend to agree she was brought in to be a sort of heartless hatchetman. I don't think Howard likes firing people and doesn't want to deal with it directly. Also get the feeling that Marci Turk is in some way connected to getting these celebrities. They probably send her out to assure the guests it will be a PC softball 'interview.' There's also something very odd about her, wouldn't be surprised if some weird shit happens to get people on the show...

Playing This is Your Life with a celebrity allows him to easily kill 25 to 40% of his day's work obligation. That's one celebrity -- he often has two a day. This Is Your Life is simply the easiest way for him to run out the clock. Add in Robin's news with its constant live commercial reads, the extraordinarily long bumpers before and after breaks, the cranky calls and other staff-produced filler, and Howard's job is almost completely done for him by other people. All that's really required of him is a mandatory 20 minutes per week detailing his masturbation habits.

Yes that's true too it kills time. But I noticed a bump in the stock price so there might be more to it.

Good theory. Of course, the inverse could be that he's sabotaged his own brand to drive the stock down, making the company worthless.

That seems more like something he'd do..

I'll bet the interviews are still being recorded on video and either Sirius or Howard is going to package them in the future.

Who the fuck is going to buy that shit? Seriously, who wants to watch it?

Back in the E! show days, I'd have paid to see the black bars removed on the topless chicks and maybe to watch uncensored anal ring toss, but there's absolutely nothing that's happened in that studio since Artie left that I actually want to see...

It will be interesting to see which way the stock price goes when it's announced that Howard won't be back. From a quick glance Howard's salary is about 1% of revenues.

Before I stopped listening completely the interviews were always when I went hunting for something else to listen to. No challenges, no fighting with guests, no pressing questions, nothing interesting even if the guests were interesting, which mostly they are not.

He's just a regular stop on the celebrity book promo tour. He used to get in guests that were friends of the show or had something to say. Now they come in after or before Kelly Ripa and he floats through an hour to get to Wednesday at 11 when he packs it in for the week. All he sees is the finish line now.

He dumped any stock the second he received it.

Howard is a partner like Beefus is a mother.
