These Doonesbury cartoons led to "outrage" by religious groups and were pulled by some newspapers, so they must have hit a nerve

We get your point. But comparing fetuses to criminals who have done horrible things to other human beings is sillier than the tiny barely-readable fonts in the cartoons. My guess is that by "pro-life" they mean lives worth living, broadly. Equality means everyone gets to feign offense at stuff they don't like.

Basically it's some liberal blow-hard whining about the Texas abortion laws which require a sonogram and a 24-hour waiting period by speaking as a teen girl in his stupid, boring comic strip.

Doonesbury was much better in the '80sn, before Trudeau politicized it.

The fine print goes away when you right-click, view image. This was really pretty bad, unfunny, preachy, and unsubtle. "I thee rape." I share his horror but this is really not very good work. Doonesbury's always been somewhat mediocre, but this is below average for him.

As to the "outraged" groups, fuck 'em. Stop voting for malicious shitstains.

Few people have ever put those words together unironically, but I think you might be serious.
