    Tall Pilots Need Not Apply
So you wanna fly spaceships for NASA? You'll need a college degree in maths, science or engineering; a minimum of 1,000 hours a commanding pilot in a jet aircraft; and be able to pass a NASA space physical, which requires distant visual acuity, good blood pressure and – here's the real zinger – a height between 62 and 75 inches. You can prepare, train, and account for just about every other aspect of NASA's Pilot Astronaut requirements (you can even have your eyes corrected with laser surgery), but unless you're between 5'2" and 6'3", you aren't getting behind the wheel.

The Moon Has a Distinct Smell
Astronauts aboard several lunar missions have reported that moon dust smells distinctly of "wet ashes in a fireplace" and "spent gunpowder." (And according to Apollo 16 astronaut John Young, it doesn't taste "half bad.")

    So Does Space
According to Louis Allamandola, founder and director of the Astrophysics and Astrochemistry Lab at NASA Ames Research Center, space is full of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that smell not unlike metal, diesel fumes and barbecue (astronauts returning aboard the International Space Station after a 6-hour spacewalk have reported smelling "burned" or "fried" steak.)

NASA Hypnotized Apollo 12 Astronaut Pete Conrad to Keep Him from Swearing
The Agency did its best to prevent and cover up the less radio- and family-friendly transmissions between its astronauts. One astronaut, in particular, had a habit of listing off profanities when his mind wandered. Anticipating a PR nightmare, NASA took that interesting preemptive step.

Space is not that far away.

Space officially begins at the universal marker of the Karman Line. This invisible boundary is 100km above the Earth. In theory if you could drive your car upwards, you could be in space in less than hour.

Nebulae come in all shapes and sizes

Nebula means cloud in Latin. These are areas in which stars are being created or where a star has died. The cosmic clouds come in all shapes and sizes and are made out of interstellar dust and gases. There is a Christmas tree nebula, a horsehead, a unicorn, a hand, fried egg and lots more. These beautiful clouds which are not visible to the naked eye really highlight the fact there is a lot more happening in the night sky than you can see.

The furthest manmade object is Voyager 1. It has messages for aliens on-board.

“If you fart in zero G, you have a major problem,” said Derrick Pitts, the Franklin Institute’s chief astronomer“If you fart,” he said, “the gas stays right there. It doesn’t go anywhere. It hovers right around there.”
When you sleep at zero G, you’d better have a fan blowing across your face, said Pitts. Without forcing the air to move, “the carbon dioxide you exhale will hang right in front of you. And suffocate you.”

Oh sorry Fishy I thought you said space farts!

Harlock my friend, I think you and I were born 300 yrs too early. We would probably be commanding our own star ships. :D

The furthest manmade object is Voyager 1. It has messages for aliens on-board.

the message says "Earth girls are easy and willing to get naked just to be on this message. "
