I get lost in the shtick, quite a lot. So i have to assume this is another of Howard's hilarious goofs. He doesn't really think people would pay a hundred bucks, to watch poorly parodied (& that's being VERY kind), musical numbers, sung to a vast auditorium, by the likes of JD & Jason, does he? :dontknow:

I don't know if its real, but his enormous ego would indeed think those things.

Quite serious. This will be followed by the cross-country bus tour (never gets old).

The musical is just the final piece of this holiday extravaganza, first:

the premiere of ETM in Taxi Driver, followed by
the defiling of the ETM Real Doll, then a sneak preview of
    Porky's remade, then
Ronnie will get blown by Richard followed by
    the opening of HowardCon
    then finally the musical

They are too lazy to provide content for their show, but, it seems completely reasonable to assume they would use their downtime to develope a Broadway production. Fuck!

If they're rehashing the broadway play thing again this would make it about the fifth time

I don't think there's a chance this will ever reach an auditorium, let alone Broadway.

Some of the songs have been funny but the fact of the matter is that Stern will never invest the money or the time for something like this.
And if he did, I would question whether they could even fill a 2,000 seat auditorium.

Howard would never do anything that involved him investing one dime of his own money.

Agreed, this will never happen. I don't believe Howard ever actually considered doing a real play, it's all just a premise to keep the bit going.
