YouTube ‘drug fairy’ dead in apparent overdose By Joe Tacopino March 2, 2016 | 1:01am A woman who played a blue “drug” fairy in a music video that went viral after she got arrested on drug charges was found dead of an apparent overdose in her home on Tuesday, cops said. Sharissa Turk, 25, who was part of a massive narcotics bust in 2013, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in her Staten Island home at around 3 p.m., according to police. Turk’s death was likely due to an overdose. The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death. In the music video posted online, Turk wears fairy wings and blows crushed powder into the camera as a goofball group performs a rap song that glorifies painkiller use. The song, called “My World is So Blue,” is a reference to oxycodone epidemic which has deeply affected Staten Island. Turk was busted in 2013 along with 32 other people after she sold oxycodone to an undercover cop on three separate occasions. Turk pled guilty after the bust and was asked to complete a drug treatment program.
