So I figured I would share this with anyone interested as it helped me quite a bit...there is a website and app (apple or android) called MyFitnessPal and it is pretty sweet. You basically put in your age, sex, height, weight, daily activity level, and desired goals, and it spits out what you should take in on a daily basis. You can also edit the app/website to track specific things, maybe you aren't trying to lose weight but are worried about something else...for instance high blood pressure runs in my mom's side of the family so I track sodium, a guy at work has high cholesterol so he uses the app to track just that. Anyway, it has a huuuge database, literally has the nutrition facts for every food item at every restaurant and in most grocery stores. If you have an iPhone/Android with a camera, you can "scan" the barcode on a food item and it immediately loads in the nutrition facts. Anywho, I am starting to buzz and obviously rambling, but figured I would share this as it has made a pretty significant impact on my health, and even it it has a positive impact on just one person this thread was worth it. Cheers mates!
