New York is the center on the universe and this is the best the NFL can do for musical acts appearing on stage in Times Square. The three acts are appearing on separate nights. I understand most groups don't want stand out in freezing weather on a stage for a couple
of hours a night but this is the Super Bowl in probably it's biggest setting ever. Deborah Harry is 68. You might want to bring someone a little more current to perform on Saturday Night before the game.

    The Bacon Brothers
    Cafe' Wha?
    Blondie

Most current NFL players were not even born when "Rapture" was in heavy rotation on MTV

At the Bud Light Hotel this weekend (across the street from their cruise ship hotel on the Hudson)

    Foo Fighters
    Imagine Dragons
    Roots
    Zac Brown Band
    Run D.M.C.
    Busta Rhymes
    Fall Out Boy
    Jake Owen

Not too bad........ especially considering what TeamSirius/Stern was able to pull (trust me, there will be NO Springsteen).

I think it will be decent. The RHCPs bring it and anything is better than last year's stomp fest.
I was surprised to find out they let the Chili Peppas play during halftime with their history of nudity and foul language on stage.

It is kinda' true. Anthony Kiedis went full-throttle on the whole "rehab rock" after that. I can only listen to so much "workin' on myself and my sobriety" stuff.

I'm kind of excited for it. I think interesting duets and collaborations would make for a good Halftime template moving forward.

    Jay-Z and Springsteen, anyone?

I disagree. Their latest album with their new guitar player was a pleasant surprise. I hear you though, I bought By the Way and Stadium Arcadium and I think I listened to each album probably once before I gave them to somebody else or buried it among my huge pile of CD's.

Bruce already did the Superbowl and they beat these crappy duets to death. Timberlake/Janet, Aerosmith/Britney, Madonna/LMFAO

Blondie pre-dated Mtv by many years.
