This movie doesn't deserve to be dustbinned and forgotten

    So good.

    If you have not seen Time After Time, the fellow getting dressed in the room is Jack the Ripper. He escaped into the 1970s via a machine that HG Wells, the knock at the door, invented.

    Jack continues his legacy in the States.

    HG Wells goes about trying to stop him, despite being a meek character and not equipped to handle the stress of dealing with the shock of jumping a century ahead.

    I remember this movie from so long ago. Thanks for bringing it up and reminding me of it. Ill have to watch it again soon.

    the book was better. I remember reading it in high school. the movie cut out too much. the actors are first rate though. I don't think David Warner gets much screen time anymore; he does do audiobook dramatizations though.
