Old news. I guess once he left the Stern compound & had SXM execs eyes on him all the time, they saw what Stern fans saw - a bad middle management type
Weird , opine said it was the best thing to happen to their channel when he was hired....
i knew he was let go from howards show then O&A, i wasn't aware he was fired from the whole shabang.
Yep, but since then they ragged on him. They thought he was not fighting for them with SXM. They also said he was pushing them to go afternoons
He did not work for O&A. He worked for SXM as the middle man for a lot of shows (after he was gone from THSS)
He was not let go from Howard's show, he wanted to leave and his new position was head of programming for the comedy channels
He was only fired on Friday
What does that have to do with how O&A felt once Tim started the position
What about "The Shit Show"
He should have been fired for moving R&F to Rawdog
First off Tim was fired last Weds and he only "tried" to make them move to afternoons the first month he was there. Opie was livid Tim got fired so I'm pretty sure they wanted him to stay no matter how much they "ragged" on him.
Opie is livid at 99% of the things SXM does. Any reason to go off on them & he would
actually he was removed for shitting all over HSS then he was in charge of the talk channels anyways glad he is gone
A portent of things to come if and when the bottom-line oriented Liberty-led regime sits down with Howie and Don to discuss the future?
This is the greatest firing on earth
On Adam Carolla's podcast he said that when he was just recently on Howard's show that the head of Sirius asked to see him. And once again they asked if he would be interested in working with them, and once again they pulled the, hey, let's not talk about money yet - this is about relationships BS. Same conversation he's had with them the last seven or so years.
He likened it to him just calling a roofing company up, seeing if they are "interested" in replacing his roof for free, then saying bye.
Hope they are as tight with a buck with Howard the next time round.
Whether you think so or not I find that comment from Carolla very encouraging because it means Malone is looking at the podcast world seriously for content and if all goes well it could mean the end of Wiggy. While Adam may have had those discussions previously with SiriusXM I'd like to know if this was the first time they approached him since Malone bought the company.
Everything out of Jim Meyer's mouth towards Stern has been "ass licking". I doubt it goes the way you said
I just don't see Wiggy taking a massive pay cut to remain on Satellite because there is no way Meyer or Malone will pay that salary again for that schedule and lack of content. Plus Wiggy is most likely gonna want an even more reduced schedule so I see no reason SiriusXM would accept that type of deal unless its at a drastically reduced salary that would actually benefit them. However terrestrial radio would gladly take him back and with the mainstream advertising revenue they could afford to pay him much more than whatever SiriusXM will offer on the next contract.
