i still can't believe that's the ad campaign they went with.
Oh noes, we have to muzzle our black fuzzy Q-Tip headed Howard, he is going to say something so outrageous! look at Sharon giving him the 'Stern' look of warning. oh, and don't forget to notice our token blaek in the background corner over there
That hair is totally ridiculous.
The poor Wig looks horrible.
Michael Dukakis called....He wants his shoulders back.
Head on a stick.
A cheesy show deserves a cheesy ad. Why is the black guy way in the back? is that a young Eddie Murphy?
i just found out this isnt seriuos singing contest. but more like the gong show. just when i thought i couldnt be anymore disappointed in howard. its embarrassing
The fact that they try and make it look like Howard's going to be edgy or controversial is hilarious. This is a show on a major network during prime time's FAMILY hour. The network goes even beyond governmental mandates to keep things clean so they don't offend any interest groups. Howard's muzzle will be on tight and as Nemo has mentioned if he slips during a live show there is going to be hell to pay.
He won't slip, he wants to be loved now by middle America so badly, he'll be extra carfeul. This is what he wants as a legacy, not lesbian dating game or butt bongo, even the channel 9 show. He was young foolish then.
this is prolly true.
but, maybe they wanted wild howard. howard is smart enough to be wild and still play within the rules. he did it most of his career. also, people that dont listen to the show(AGT execs) think he still 90s howard.
what is the appeal of lame howard to anyone? he dont appeal to people like us, or the teeny boppers. i think they wanted a simon-type, thats the successful template
Nick Cannon looks like he's about to yell, "FEETS DON'T FAILS ME NOW!!" in that pic.
you are a racialist
Pepito would like to disagree:
i know you know this, but those kids just want to be on TV. they would cheer a cardboard cutout of hitler
Howard could not find his way home from times square
Any other astute observations today, Captain Obvious?
Howard knows where the limits are when it comes to obscenity, but good taste is another thing altogether. The same stuff he does on the radio every day would get him in big trouble on AGT and he doesn't seem to realize it's offensive. A caller who was at one of the tapings already mentioned something like that. When a group of black guys who were contestants walked out on stage, Howard said "I feel like I should hand you my wallet.". If someone like Al Sharpton heard that and accused him of racial profiling (especially considering the Trayvon Martin case) the shit would hit the fan. Even the "sauce on side" and "shiny buff" bits would require an apology on AGT, once the show goes live there's a good chance he'll slip up and the dump button won't be fast enough to save him.
