This was in the New York Daily News. The new hustle in Times Square are painted topless ladies getting $10 to get their picture taken with them. It's already legal to go topless in NYC. These girls get themselves painted in patriotic outfits wearing a thong. Complaints have been made over the influx of topless women prancing around Times Square and charging tourists to be in photos, deeming it inappropriate and offensive. The women, who cover their bodies in paint and and typically wear nothing but a thong, are not in trouble for being topless - which is legal in New York City - but for posing with underage children. The number of women at the tourist mecca have doubled in the last year, with about 40 walking around Times Square on the weekends, according to The New York Daily News. Odessa Leitch, 38, told the newspaper she was not happy that her 12-year-old son and three-year-old daughter had to witness the same during a recent visit. 'It's inappropriate,' she said. Another parent, Parfait Mutimura, was equally as unhappy. 'I understand New York is all about self-expression but there are a lot of kids out here,' he said. 'They could keep these women in a different spot, away from the Disney characters, but they wouldn't make as much money. 'That's what this is about, right?' Chris Oliveri, 25, who works with one group of women, added: 'It's not a business, it's a hustle. 'If you're not working from every angle, you're not making money.'
