As a fan going back as far as 1989 I can honestly say the hypocrisy of today's Madonna interview almost made me cry.

I grew up with stern and having first hand knowledge of the shows history, the ass kissing, the lead up, the fawning over the bad music , john hein later acting like stern had just split the atom was simply to much.

I have only listened sporadically these last 3 years but I owe it to my manhood to not listen to this level of bullshit anymore. Shame on stern for being such a sellout. Or shame on him for showing us fans his true character and bursting our bubble after all these years. I know understand why he loves Beth so much. She is everything cold and calculated that he loves all wrapped in a pretty package. Fuck stern, his wife and his show! First listened in 1989, will never listen again.

Today made 2009 look like 1994. We've truly reached a new milestone.

and 1994 was about the last time Madonna was relevant with music, so I guess it all ties together.

Sirius couldn't pay me to listen. Not sure which Howard is real--the pre- or post- enlightened Howard. He only cares about marbles. Suspect if he could make more money being the pre enlightened Howard of yesteryear, he would return to that Howie in a second. All about greed and fame

Yeah I dunno how you guys made it this long listening to that crap. I bailed around Jan 2012? Whenever he started AGT talk, the show stopped being funny once Artie left. At least for me...

Agree on the Artie sentiment. When Artie left it died.

I didn't hear the interview. Sounds like he truly is Hamptons Howie now.

This isn't even about Madonna though. What she is or isn't is irrelevant. Wiggy has spent more collective time over the years talking shit about people like Madonna than he's cried about Jay Leno.

The "listen, the show has evolved" spin only goes so far before it just becomes apparent that he's just been a fraud and a phoney all along, and the whole "fight with the FCC" schtick only really existed in his own mind.

This times 1000. And I'll tell you the precise moment it died: the first hour of the first show back from the holiday break where he thought he would just not talk about Artie ever again, the way he never mentions people when they're fired these days. And the fuck head proceeded to wax with Ronnie about his wild "strippas" weekend for an hour while Blobbin cackled it up. Then later a caller ambushed him about Artie and he had to respond, and backpeddled that "he was going to talk about it eventually". Right just like Howard TV, Geezer G, all the ch101 shows, etc.

These days that ambush caller wouldn't even get through.
