    lake

it was a real clear and deep spring-fed lake so that the stocked trout, over the years, just took to their new habitat and they endured.

It was just a real beautiful day.

Most people vacation for this paradise.

Very cool...One thing I miss about living in north Jersey are the rivers stocked with trout. I used to love putting on the waders and working the streams. I live down south by the ocean now and I don't really care for salt water fishing.

I didn't even work that hard for them. I used a worm and hook. By sunset, they were striking the water everywhere with all the flies hitting the surface.

close to the White Mountains, north a bit. Moose galore . . loons crying off the lake. By sunset the trout were jumping everywhere. I just grilled two of them, let the rest go. The largemouth bass I caught was a nice size. They are just getting ready to spawn so are especially aggressive right now.

    Maybe I'll go back tomorrow.

No, I released the rest. I felt guilty having them all, so let three swim off.

Largemouth bass are not the best tasting fish anyway, they are fun to catch and release.
