What was the conclusion?
i heard there’s a $1.00 beer thread too
That was wonderful. I'd eat at all three places.
That was like porn to a sushi lover like me. Kura(the first place in video), opened a robo-sushi place in Schaumburg IL, that looks exactly like the Japanese one. Fun place and the prices were really reasonable.
You get what you pay for with Sushi.
Thanks for sharing the video man, I really enjoyed it.
The big question is not $1 vs $133 but $13 vs $133. Probably not as big a difference unless you’re talking Toro.
Watch Jiro Dreams of Sushi for a better lesson.
FYI - Sushi is about the rice not the fish.
ya, sashimi is about the fish. I typically prefer nigiri, everything seems to balance nicely between the rice, wasabi, sauce, etc.
Great video. Thanks.
If I could afford it, I would eat sushi 5-8 times per week. There isn't any real good sushi within 45 minutes from my home. What you can get locally is ridiculously overpriced, supermarket farmed salmon. OK in a pinch, but nothing you would want to eat on a regular basis.
One of the few drawbacks to rural living.
Sushi from Dollar Tree store, yep only 1.00
Thanks - started watching it last night. Jiro is incredible. I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes, and not his spouse, but the man does treat sushi like nobody else.
Sushi in its purest form.
fish for your own? A little striped bass sashimi?
The documentary isn't really about sushi.
Thank you captain obvious
Although originally the filmmaker was going to make it featuring many different sushi chefs.
