I've seen 3 or 4 of these and almost everyone hates Jimmy Fallon. Expect the same. Almost everyone who did SNL, maybe the backstage or cleaning guys. More Springsteen. More Justin Timberlake...This is comedy? :dontknow:

"In less than a month, Jay Leno will pass the Tonight Show torch to Jimmy Fallon. But before he does, Leno will have him on as a special guest.

NBC has confirmed that Fallon will have a seat on Leno's Tonight Show couch on February 3, which will kickoff Leno's final week. Matthew McConaughey, Charles Barkley, Sandra Bullock and Betty White are also scheduled to stop by to help Leno bid adieu to his 22-year run.

On February 6, Leno's final night, he'll be joined by his first-ever Tonight Show guest, Billy Crystal.

The iconic program will then pick up and move across the country back to its old home in New York City, with Fallon preparing to become its new host on February 17. Will Smith has been lined up as Fallon's first guest, with U2 slated to perform.

And after Fallon settles in at Tonight, another Saturday Night Live star, Seth Meyers, will take over hosting duties for Late Night. His debut will be on February 24 with former SNL alum and Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler as his first guest.

Meyers' last night at "SNL" will be February 1."

Old unfunny comedian passes The Tonight Show to a young unfunny comedian. I'm sorry but I just don't see why anyone would watch Leno or Fallon when you have Letterman, Conan, Kimmel, and Ferguson. And Seth Meyers is a horrible Weekend Update anchor, I can't imagine that joyless hack trying to hold a full hour show together.

Wonder if Leno will mention Fallon on his last show. Carson didn't.

if they don't now, they damn sure won't when these guys take over.

The thing with Fallon, for me - I think he's funny, but he kind of over does the impressions. They're good for about a minute or so, but they go on too long...then it's too much. I end up feeling embarrassed for him for acting like an idiot. :dontknow:

He really is a talented guy. But once again it's the old "Passing The Torch" syndrome. Carson did it well, but it took him YEARS before The Tonight Show under his reign got finely tuned and polished. "The Man In The Suit Doing A Nightly Monologue And Sitting Behind A Desk" era is over. They need fresh new young ideas for YOUNG people. Oy vey, they need my help over at NBC latenight.

Good points. I also like him and think he's talented, but it's like he tries too hard and it doesn't seem natural. He should do a variety show or something, I don't think he's a good fit for The Tonight Show.

Didn't he support Letterman getting the job over Leno and was sore with manglement about that?

If I remember right Carson wanted to go a couple more years. Leno actively campaigned behind his back to take the show.

In Johnny's defense, he probably didn't know who Jimmy Fallon was back then.

Fallon's show is lively, highly amusing, filled with games and music, and invites guests to be playful. There's nothing wrong with that.

Manglement. That's the proper pronunciation for ANY type of management in this country anymore.

Fallon is a giggling, twitchy, snickering nervous Baffoon.

    Not fun; not funny

As much as I hate late night television, the two Jimmys, Craig Ferguson, and Conan are far better than the old guard (Leno, Letterman) at this point. The younger guys try to add fresh content to a very tired format.

Letterman was great, but lost a few steps about 5ish years ago and never got them back.

ya, I cant get past the annoying giggling. he's always so enamored with the guests which is really hard to watch. it is a dead dying format that anyone under 30 coundn't give two shits about. most don't even know what snl is either.
