How soon before we hear about law suits because people believed it?

I'm sure there are ambulance chasers drawing up the papers at this moment!

If anybody actually believed that, they should be sterilized immediately.

Everyone will be looking for a shakedown if the lawyers get involved

I don't get it. Why would lawyers get involved?

Who is suing for damages? Nobody can sue somebody for making a prank viral video. Nobody was asking for money or advocating that people do anything. A judge would throw that shit out of court in a second. If people could sue for being disappointed, every girl I ever dated would have every penny I ever earned.

In fairness, this one went mini-viral.

When Back to the Future 2 came out there was a "making of" documentary/promotion on TV and they claimed the hoverboard was real. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I made a bet with my dad about it. He tried to explain that if it was real the tech would be used in countless places before skateboards... but I believed the TV more than any logic. It was a good lesson though. :p

a hoverboard would need to be close to the ground to "push off" from the ground, with some force like an air steam or magnetic levitation. Having a 'hoverboard park' is doable now by having a magnetized floor, and magnetic hoverboards. There are trains that use magnetic force to lessen friction with the tracks.

"Magnetic levitation, maglev, or magnetic suspension is a method by which an object is suspended with no support other than magnetic fields. Magnetic pressure is used to counteract the effects of the gravitational and any other accelerations." -wiki

This is a good lesson on why you shouldn't get your news and politics from John Stewart.
