i'm watching the dvd of the 'new' Stooges film. i knew nothing about it. netflix just sent it, from some drunken queue i obviously made.

of course, it can't be compared to THE original Stooges, all of them. the film has some good, some bad. mostly bad.

but, as i'm watching, i'm thinking, "wow, James Gandolfini is really overcoming his role as a mob king by doing a great job as Curly, given what he has to work with!" so at least the film has that going for it.

imagine my surprise when i just searched and discovered it's some other guy who looks just like Gandolfini, if he were to play Curly. this guy could also play young and current Tony Soprano, if that movie ever gets made - that follows up on the lame ending of the Sopranos.

    Journey, play me out.

Both Sasso and Gandolfini are sons of Italian immigrants, though Sasso is Canadian.

This guy did the funniest Steven Seagal impression on MadTv. I'm too uncompetent to post a link it is.

I like that one just because it's so gloriously stupid, Sasso has had a lot of good bits.

Thanks guys. I didn't know anything about Sasso's career/life. Will look into it. He brought some energy to an otherwise bland Stooge remake.

Sophia what's her name looked pretty good though. I'd nuck nuck nuck her.
