My air compressor is giving up the ghost. The tank is rusting through little pinholes. Epoxy works to plug it but it is just getting too bad. It was my dad's so it has had a full life. Does anybody have a recommendation for a good air compressor? I'd love to spend under $400. I have several air tools and three nailers. I also have a small sand blast setup that I'd like to be able to use. I'm guessing I need around 5CFM at 90 PSI but that's just a guess. I also want one that requires oil.

I know it's a long shot on here but does anyone have a suggestion besides putting the air hose up my anus and/or pee pee hole?

It's gonna have to be 110 V for now. I don't think a 5 horse 60 gal is going to come in at $400. It would probably be more like 2 horse at 110V

Yes, Dave, I rely on the experts at Home Depot that for all of my advice. They love giving it so much that they accept minimum wage just to dispense their expertise to the masses.

    It's a compressor.

You're not going to get behind the wheel, and drive to Canada with it.

$400 isn't going to get you much of an air compressor. Definately 110 and a single stage. Doesn't sound like you need anything big other than the sand blaster, even the small ones gobble up air so you'll be waiting while it recovers. Check craiglist, you might stuble upon a gem for cheap.
