I just got some Itunes gift cards and am always lookingn for new music. Right now my favorite bands are Radiohead, The Smiths and Modest Mouse. But lately I have been gravitating not awesome woman vocalists like Lana Del Ray. I'm kind of all over the place. I just hate country with a passion and not a fan of rap.

What are your top 5 favorite songs?

there is a new Modest Mouse album coming out in 2015. I like their early albums when they were a little rawer and weirder but i'm not crazy about their newer stuff and that Float On song. I guess i'm a hipster.

Kinda hard to pick, but I'll rattle off the first that come to mind.

    Blue Sky - Allman Bros
Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin
The Wounding and Healing of Man - Francis Dunnery
Someone Saved My Life Tonight - Elton John
    Loving Cup - Stones

If you aren't into Morrissey you need to take a good, long look in the mirror and ask yourself "What is wrong with me?"

The Walkmen put out like 7 albums throughout the 2000s but didn't get enough attention. I thought they were pretty good. I love this song.

and if you like Modest Mouse you have to like Built to Spill

Lorde's Pure Heroine is a frighteningly listenable pop album if you're into that sort of thing.

Let's see.. off the top of my head

    The Writ - Black Sabbath
Angel of Death - Hank Williams Sr.
If You Want Blood (You Got It) - AC/DC
    Commando - Ramones
    Orion - Metallica

Should probably have a lot more Ramones on there. And Misfits. And Clutch. And Faith No More..

It's really an impossible task to list Top 5 Favorite Songs, let alone Albums or even Bands.

My advice would be to use those iTunes gift cards for anything other than music. Perhaps something useful, like an audiobook or a lecture series.

You can pirate music and the artists will get more money than if you buy it on iTunes. Well, not really. But almost.
