Was thinking the other day...Who are my favorite Frontmen in Rock History? A few characristics for me....
    - Lead Singer
    - Dynamic on and off stage personality (almost bigger than life)
    - In a band (no solo acts)
    - Musicianship (writer, singer, player)
    - Rock LEGEND (not just some also ran...ELITE status)

I left out some like Lennon and McCartney because I just view them differently.

So, here's who I came up with....

    - Mick Jagger
    - Freddie Mercury
    - Stephen Tyler
    - Bono
    - Bruce Springteen (Would he be solo?)
    - Roger Daltrey
    - Robert Plant
    - David Lee Roth (No Hagar)
    - Axl Rose
    - Dave Grohl
    - Jon Bonjovi

I know I've left off someone obvious I'm sure. It's an opinion thing, so who would you add or take away?

It depends on the day, but I think he can count, insofar as most of his tours are "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band."

Mick is probably the universal consensus. Freddy was a great showman. Bruce and Bono are pretentious assholes.

I go with Roger. He was in a top 5 band, many say only behind the Beatles. The songs Pete wrote were perfect for stadium rock. He had a great rock n roll voice to go with a legendary scream. And he was drop dead gorgeous.

You left off Jim Morrison. When Jim was wasted onstage legendary stories ensued. Google Doors in Miami and New Haven.

Mick is the logical choice: high energy, but the prancing princess routine gets old

Guess I would have to go Freddie or Roger from that list.

    What about:

    Prince? Bowie? Stevie Nicks?

    Others, less obvious: Roky Erickson (60s); Elton John (70s only; he spent the 80s in mediocrity); Joey Ramone or Henry Rollins (80s; not a fan, but he is LIVE);
