Long time fan of Nine Inch Nails.

One would be hardpressed to find an artist with more respect for, and who goes out of his way to please and entertain his fans than mr reznor.

Mr Stern should study him to learn that just because a middle age man decides to marry an attractive younger woman doesn't mean he has to completely sell out his longtime fans, do a career 180, only to put out shitty vanilla material.

While it's true that Trent has done some work on his wife's musical projects he also spent the last few years winning academy awards, has a kick ass album out now, and is currently touring putting on one of the most impressive shows I have ever seen.

Wierd how Howard prefers the long haired, emaciated, 130 pound Trent Reznor from the 90s rather than the heathy looking man we see today

Just went to a NIN concert not that long ago. It was the kickoff for the new tour, whatever the fuck it's called. I'm a fucking HUGE NIN fan. Starting listening in 1991 or so with Pretty Hate Machine. He lost me after With Teeth, though, as the music was getting to pop-like and faggot.

Here's a couple of shots of the show:

And here's a pic of me that my sister snuck in, when she realized I was about to blow my fucking stack because I only knew about 25% of the songs. Seriously. He didn't even fucking play Closer, for fuck's sake. Who the fuck does that kind of shit???

Nope, no Closer. Dude, I was fucking fit to be tied like you wouldn't believe. No Closer, Burn, Down In It, Happiness In Slavery. NONE OF IT. But I did get treated to all of his new shit (gag), and the two enwurdesses that he's employing as backup singers :)facepalm:) They were embarrassing to watch. All fat and sassy, bopping along to the music like they were into it and shit. BLECH.

Also, from what I can tell, Trent Reznor is 5'4".

That angry picture is the best.

I also saw him on the recent tour and while I wish he played more of his back catalogue, I still liked the new album which made up 10 of the 26 or so songs he played.

He didn't play closer (my favorite song) either (apparently he has yet to play it on the current tour).

I've already seen him 2 other times and have seen most of his back catalogue played live already so I didn't mind, but I completely understand your frustration

He played Burn on my show but not any of the other ones you mentioned.

According to setlist.fm he hasn't plaid happiness in slaver in years. I don't think he plays down in it much either

I was really hoping to hear reptile again and didn't

I've seen NIN 3 or 4 times with the most recent being the "Lights in the sky" tour. Fucking outstanding show. I was at the show in Okc show where "Beside You In Time" was filmed. My wife is so sick of me pausing the bluray so I can see myself...

His music was better when he was emaciated, though. Used to have balls.

And going to a NIN show to hear Closer sounds like going to Radiohead to hear Creep.

Yeah, really like the new album.

While I do miss the sound of the downward spiral era with all the strange samples, I still like the new sound

    Yes, the samples.

I know he always made rock, but the industrial influence used to be very pronounced, now everything feels very by the numbers pop rock.

Closer was a staple of the show until this tour, although I suspect he's just giving it a break.

ALso from what I have heard is that not only does radiohead basically refuse to play Creep, good luck seeing them play anything pre-Kid A these days. On their tour last year they played about 24 songs a night. With about 2 from ok computer and 1 from the bends

Kanye West's last album was basically what Trent Reznor was doing in the 90s.
