Gonna be hard to top the first season. But I thought Better Call Saul was going to suck too, so I'll reserve making predictions and just hope it's good.
The new season of the Nic Pizzolatto drama sees a bizarre murder unite three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California. Colin Farrell stars as Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective in the all-industrial City of Vinci, L.A. County.
Vince Vaughn is Frank Semyon, a criminal and entrepreneur in danger of losing his life’s work, while his wife and closest ally (Kelly Reilly, Black Box), struggles with his choices and her own.
Rachel McAdams is set as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County sheriff’s detective often at odds with the system she serves, while Friday Night LIgihts favorite Taylor Kitsch plays Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle cop for the California Highway Patrol who discovers a crime scene which triggers an investigation involving three law enforcement groups, multiple criminal collusions, and billions of dollars.
I think Vince Vaughn can be a good actor. He just chooses easy/dumb comedies.
Wonder if it'll have the subtle supernatural "Yellow King" type overtones that the first season did. I was bummed that they didn't make more of that.
The director of the first season is currently filming the first of two Stephen King IT films and I can't wait.
The McConaissance may give way to the Vaughn-aissance....
California is a tried setting for media. We've seen enough of it in films and TV shows.
I am excited for it but I'm not a big fan of the stereotypical "strong" female detective. Colin Farrell is a very underrated actor.
I remember when you said woody was the killer because of his yellow hair
season1 epi 3 or 4.. instead of following a drug suspect i choose to hang with the gang that goes into reggieville and retrieve drugs
i was thinking to deeply on that one. i was trying to connect the "golden crown."
why are your avatars white dudes?
I get it. That show was a mindfuck.
They don't have much melanin.
